Deafness

The world will never hear us the way we wish to be heard. Yet that does not mean we are silent. Within each of us exists a vibrant universe, filled with sounds, colors, memories, ideas, and sensations that do not always find their way to others. Here, the head becomes a landscape. Materials accumulate, paths intersect, musical notes float freely, while flowers continue to grow despite everything. What should flow naturally sometimes seems to encounter an invisible boundary, as though the outside world could grasp only a fraction of this inner richness. Deafness is not only about the inability to hear. It also evokes the distance that exists between our inner worlds. We spend our lives translating what we carry within us, without ever being able to convey it entirely.
