Pop Korn

Pop Korn was born from a random idea. I've been listening to Korn since I was about 8 years old. My dad was the one who introduced me to the band, and even today they're still in my top 3. I started wondering what someone who had grown up listening to Korn their whole life might look like. I started painting without thinking too much... and this character just appeared. The funniest part is that once it was finished, we realized it looked a lot like my best friend's ex-boyfriend at the time. She thought he was really creepy... By a strange coincidence, this huge painting even ended up at her place for almost a month. We still laugh about it today. A few years later, Pop Korn became the very first character I ever animated. I was so proud of that little video. I still think he's just as creepy today. One day, he'll also be part of my feature film, a project where my paintings will come to life, somewhere between animation and the real world.
