Rain: Romeo (2026)

Romeo is one half of Rain, a paired work in which two figures are connected by wind, fabric, gesture and changing light. Twisting through a wide field of fabric and sweeping lines, he answers the quiet, upright stillness of his companion, Juliet — together the panels balance shelter and exposure, stillness and acceleration. Hand-built in bas-relief on panel, the work moves through distinct light states: in daylight it reads as restrained sculptural relief; under ultraviolet and red light it shifts into saturated colour and deep shadow. Part of the Signature Series (2026). Available individually or together with Juliet as a pair ($25,000 for both panels). Romeo is on display at The Beaumont Studios, Vancouver, through October 31, 2026.
