The body. A fragile knot of flesh and time. It gathers what came before, transports it, entrusts it to the world. When it passes, it leaves behind in matter enough to lift the earth, a sequence in gestures, and in others, a part of us. *Vestige* opens the *Héritage* series. A life is never the first version of the living. Within it lie centuries of trials, instincts honed in the shadows, gestures that became reflexes even before they had a name. The work carries what is passed on without remaining intact: a shifting memory, transformed by choices, encounters, and what our actions make livable for what comes next. The material unfolds around a central presence, permeated by colors, animals, and marks that rise to the surface. Vestige moves forward between what remains, what transforms, and what continues to act. Even when the inner contours fade, the relay continues. Memory overflows the body. It builds beyond us.
