Everything is fine

This work depicts hidden suffering and the normalization of violence through a face marked by physical and psychological wounds, whose expression remains frozen in a silent scream. The greenish skin lacerated by red wounds, the open mouth transformed into a black abyss, and the rolled-back eyes graphically embody inner pain, the oppression endured, and the impossibility of making one’s suffering—though visible—heard. By juxtaposing the reassuring title “Everything Is Fine” with the brutality of the marks across the face, the work reveals the contrast between what is asserted on the surface and the reality of deeply rooted violence.
