This work depicts the birth of love and how a new relationship can gradually create a shared space between two individuals. The two figures, drawn close until their faces touch and surrounded by several interlocking hearts, embody the formation of this romantic bond, while their still-distinct bodies serve as a reminder that they remain two separate individuals. The pink and orange hues enveloping the figures reinforce this sense of affection and intimacy, while their distorted faces and unique expressions prevent the image from being reduced to an idealized representation of love. Between two individuals discovering one another and a bond that is beginning to unite them, the work portrays the birth of a couple as the gradual construction of a shared world.
