This work depicts the suffering that each of us may carry within us and the ways in which a person can choose to listen to and support those around them. The figures gathered around her, the tears appearing on some faces, and the closeness of their bodies embody this listening and presence, while each person remains marked by their own wounds. Between a person who welcomes and momentarily bears the suffering of others and the suffering they themselves may feel, the work reveals the tension of individual suffering that becomes more bearable when it can be listened to and shared.
