This work depicts support and how friendship can become an essential source of comfort after a breakup. The two figures placed side by side—one with a visible broken heart—and their closeness embody this relationship of listening, in which pain can be shared without necessarily disappearing. Between the pain experienced by one and the support offered by the other, the work reveals the tension of personal suffering that becomes more bearable when it is no longer endured alone.
