This work depicts a funeral and the moment when death becomes an inescapable reality. The coffin, covered with patterns that fill the composition, reveals the father’s face amid this profusion, as if his presence still lingered despite his absence. Between a body now enclosed in the coffin and a face that still seems to occupy the space, the work reveals the tension of a final farewell in which absence becomes definitively real.
