A Meeting in the Snow (2025)

Like many of my paintings and drawings, this piece captures a fleeting moment in a story about which we know nothing. Was it a planned meeting or a chance encounter? What connection unites these two figures about whom we know nothing? As disappointing as it may be, I don’t have the slightest idea myself! I simply imagined a conversation between a giant (everything is relative) and a tiny figure we can barely make out. And as mysterious as that large, somewhat sad face may be, I find myself drawn to this little character with the red scarf. Lost in a vast, snow-covered expanse, I’d bet on a possibly eccentric personality with a will of steel. What I’d really like to know is what the two of them are saying to each other!
