Quiet Loud

A line of waiting. The air adjusts to its silence. Just beneath the world’s surface, it reorganizes space. And that is enough. Quiet Loud carries a calm presence, permeated by a sustained tension. Something is taking shape there under pressure: a truer, more demanding direction, one that requires facing oneself without raising one’s voice. Between this work and me, there has been a long process of observation. I return to it with a different inner architecture, more aware of the cost of automatism and of what a self-assured stance demands. The face remains open, set against a gray space that absorbs the surrounding noise. The coral, pink, turquoise, and plum accents maintain a lively vibrancy within the restraint. The work walks a fine line: containing without freezing, asserting without hardening.
