The Savior

This work depicts the construction of the myth of the providential leader and the staging of power through a standing figure inspired by propaganda posters, whose face is entirely absorbed by a black mass. The annotations arranged around the body, the crossed-out words, the inscriptions glorifying the figure, the colors red, blue, and yellow, as well as the deliberate erasure of certain elements, graphically embody the construction of an idealized image, the rewriting of discourse, and the mechanisms of propaganda that shape the cult of personality. By contrasting the visual codes of authority with a face stripped of all identity, the work captures the paradox of a power that claims to embody an exceptional individual while simultaneously producing an anonymous, interchangeable figure entirely constructed by its own narrative.
