I want to be like you

This work depicts the transmission of violence across generations through a composition in which a figure sits on a monumental skull that dominates the pictorial space. The skull, the blue-tinged head, the red background, the green lines, and the circles scattered throughout the composition graphically embody the legacy of conflict, the persistence of trauma, and the circulation of a violent memory that continues to pass through bodies. By contrasting the stillness of the figure with the intensity of the elements surrounding it, the work captures how violence does not disappear with those who have experienced it, but is silently passed down, ultimately shaping the generations that follow.
