I'm still here

This work depicts the persistence of a former self and the hold the past has on one’s present identity, through a fragmented human body that appears as an abandoned yet still inhabited shell. The body parts cast in a decayed form, the repeated imprints of roses, the petals scattered on the ground, the rusted wires, and the shadow cast on the wall graphically embody memory, decay, and the lingering presence of a part of oneself that one tries to leave behind. By contrasting the fragility of the sculpture with the complete silhouette reconstructed by its shadow, the work captures the paradox of a broken body that remains present, like a trace incapable of disappearing completely.
