I'm so sorry (2025)

This work depicts repeated violence and the memory of wounds through a battered figure shown from the front, whose body becomes the site where the traces of violence remain etched. The swollen eye, broken teeth, wounds, the red mark on the cheek, the signs of hair being pulled, and the red marks crossing the background visually embody the accumulated violence, persistent trauma, and what the body retains despite attempts to erase it. By contrasting the brightness of the yellow background with the brutal marks across the figure, the work captures the contrast between repeated excuses that seek to mask reality and the wounds that continue to reveal its presence.
