Graham, the hero of the King's Quest video game series. I still remember the frustration I felt when I realized how completely incapable this hero was of defending himself during an attack—no matter what kind! He was known for his clumsiness and naivety, but also for his sharp mind—obsessed with puzzles—his boundless courage, and his kindness. The kind of good guy people always underestimate. I loved the idea of giving him a proud, confident pose just as he’s about to throw his pie! This painting is a nod to the duel between Graham and a yeti. Forget the sword! This monster will crush your bones if you don’t have at least one pastry in your possession!
