In my head

This work depicts mental confinement and the process of inner transformation through a diptych in which a central figure, devoid of human features, appears to gradually detach itself from itself. The opaque square imprisoning the head, the colored lines crisscrossing the composition, the scattered black fragments, and the gestural tensions in the background graphically embody repressed emotions, the fragmentation of identity, and the movement toward inner change. By contrasting the rigidity of the confining form with the fluidity of the elements that break free and shift, the work captures the transition from a state of stagnation to a fragile reconstruction, in which the old self gradually gives way to a new form of existence.
