This work depicts the social construction of a feminine identity reduced to its market and sexual value, through a figure whose body is gradually equated with a consumer product. The barcode, the scattered eyes, the currency symbols, the words “Buy” and “Sold,” the crown, and the television screen showing an eye and a target—all graphically embody the objectification, surveillance, and commodification of the body, as well as the mechanisms that construct a feminine image designed to meet external expectations. By juxtaposing human attributes with the visual codes of consumerism and advertising, the work captures the paradox of a system that sexualizes, exploits, and values this representation while simultaneously stigmatizing those who are reduced to it.
