Agreement

Vigilance is not a choice. It is a necessity. It resides in the flesh. The body moves forward, takes the blows, wears down. Consciousness, however, weighs nothing. It watches over. It observes for both. What could have crushed instead supports. What could have scattered instead organizes. *Accord* explores vigilance when it becomes so present that it permeates the body, the mind, and matter all at once. The buffalo embodies the strength that moves forward and endures. The egret acts as a signal: it senses, alerts, and adjusts the course. The painting was built through a series of adjustments. An initial color palette, livelier and more energetic, carried the initial mental intensity. But a disconnect emerged: the concept held, but the harmony did not yet. Changing the color palette—returning to digital, then to physical media—allowed me to channel this vigilance rather than letting it scatter the whole. Harmony arises when vigilance no longer hinders movement but supports it.
