Pauline Rodrigue is originally from Beauce, but now lives and works in Montreal. She has always had an artistic bent and an interest in the arts. In 1974, she began studying art history and various media: drawing, oil paint, pastel, ink and watercolor. She creates scenes inspired by the beauty of nature, imbued with nostalgia and gentleness. In 2009, she completed a certificate in visual arts at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQÀM) and experimented with various forms of expression. But her artistic passion remains undeniably for painting. It was here that she discovered abstract art. This form of expression enchanted her and set her mind on a new path. She favors organic forms, curves and exploits the contrasts between transparency and opacity of colors. Today, she continues to perfect and acquire new techniques and knowledge, and her practice tends towards experimentation with mixed media.
