Marty Feldman or Igor

Spotlight on the zaniest and most endearing sidekick in the history of fantasy cinema! With his delightfully wide, bulging eyes and a uniquely curvy posture, My Igor hits the big screen with his legendary sense of humor. I’m paying a heartfelt tribute to the great actor Marty Feldman and to the films of Mel Brooks (who’s still alive at 100 years old). And I had so much fun incorporating the character’s iconic line, “HUMP? WHAT HUMP?” into a raw, stretched typeface in deep blue. In the top right corner, I’ve incorporated a door that opens onto a bright yellow background, revealing the creature’s silhouette and creating a stunning thermal contrast with the cobalt blue background, which is intensely textured with a palette knife. Like my characters, I wander through a certain cinematic nostalgia. I tried to reproduce a neo-expressionist graphic style (like that of pre-war German cinema) without losing sight of the character’s comedic nature.
