Stopover

Sometimes I imagine myself on a cruise ship, sailing somewhere on a calm sea. Savoring a latte on my cabin balcony while gazing out at the ocean, dancing to the sultry rhythms of Latin music, and discovering colorful villages and cities—their scents, their dishes, their people of every hue… Our lives are made up of movements, detours, and encounters. And sometimes, in the midst of it all, there’s a stopover. A moment to pause, settle in, encounter other worlds, and let an encounter gently transform the rest of the journey. In *Escale*, shapes arrive from different directions, touch one another, overlap, and share the same space before continuing on their way. The vivid colors evoke the energy of those unexpected encounters that punctuate our journeys. Because a stopover isn’t a destination. Sometimes it’s that brief, suspended moment that changes the tone of the journey.
