Description
Winter’s Thaw happens almost every year in the northern hemisphere. It’s a short period of time when the temperature rises to an unseasonably warm spell. Snow melts revealing pools of water, grass, and twigs. This painting captures that time, with vistas of the grasses reflecting in water, and evidence of snow melt. As nature and its forces, both gentle and aggressive intrigue me, WINTER’S THAW is another phenomena of nature I embrace. Canvas stretched on heavy duty bars resist warping. Gold, yellow, and muted green along with assertive mark making.
