Description
Close-up portrait, based on an original photograph by the artist, transferred by hand onto a gel plate (gelli print) in inverted layers of acrylic. The mask is not drawn: a real lace mask was used as a stamp, its motif transferred directly into the material. In pop-art halftone, a face emerges from behind the lace, mouth open — between astonishment, song and defiance. Sepia and rust tones give the image the patina of an old poster. Unique piece, signed and non-reproducible.
