At the Cocktail Bar (Portrait of Noah Baker)

This Gouache painting depicts a solitary figure seated at a table, rendered in loose, expressive brushstrokes. The subject's face is partially obscured by a hand, conveying a sense of contemplation or weariness. The palette consists of muted earth tones with touches of blue and brown, creating a subdued atmosphere. The background is abstract and sketchy, suggesting an indoor setting with minimal detail. The composition focuses on the emotional state of the figure, enhanced by the fluid, impressionistic technique and the delicate interplay of light and shadow.
