Description
Adam and Eve is a contemporary interpretation of the biblical story of Adam and Eve and their encounter with the serpent in the Garden of Eden. Pamela Ong explores themes of creation, temptation and the desire to bring something into existence. For Ong, the story extends beyond its biblical origins to reflect on the creative process itself. Painting is a spiritual practice that allows her to slow down, reflect and connect with something beyond herself. Through this work, she considers artmaking as an act of creation, inviting reflection on the relationship between spirituality, imagination and the impulse to create.
