1990

In Korb’s artistic practice, the artist explores the impact of the environment’s multiple strata on human beings and on humanity’s capacity to adapt in a world in perpetual flux. From this perspective, the work questions humanity’s ability to preserve the inner child—the creative, naïve, and free force that enables a curious embrace of change rather than fear. Korb regards the human being as an adventurer, a contemporary warrior capable of moving through these transformations. THE APPROACH

Freeing humans from the matrix is my goal.

The characters the artist creates, equipped with helmets and biomechanical armor, embody this resilience and adaptability. In parallel, Korb’s research is rooted in the idea that water possesses memory, capable of retaining vibrations and generating cymatic forms. This vision has given rise to the poetic image of ‘water learning to walk.’ Every creative intention becomes vibration, transmitted to the pictorial matter, which absorbs this energy and guides the composition. Aesthetically, the work sits between realism and abstraction, within a figurative language that captures the human essence while remaining open to interpretation. Influences range from classical painting and ancient architectural symbols to animation and cartoon culture, which introduce a playful, ironic dimension. Through this process, the artist seeks to draw a metaphorical portrait of present-day humanity, oscillating between humor and discomfort, memory and transformation.
