Midnight Flight

This work pays homage to another famous opening sequence, that of the series *Bewitched*. The composition is based on a strong geometric balance, centered on a huge full moon that contrasts with the mischievous silhouette of Samantha flying on her broomstick. The incorporation of the retro typography associated with the series perfectly captures the advertising aesthetic and carefree spirit of the 1960s. Technically, this new tribute stands out for its use of extra-thick layers of medium, always applied with a palette knife. I really love the extreme textures I’ve created in this midnight-blue sky, which generates a vibrant sense of depth. The black outlines drawn with dry pastels consistently emphasize the shapes with the energy that characterizes my work. The color palette I chose primarily contrasts the coolness of the nighttime background with the warm highlights of my witch’s red hair, maximizing the desired impact. I love this frozen moment, like a photogram immortalized for my greatest pleasure—and I hope yours as well.
