I’m leaving because the call cuts through everything else. I’ve chosen the horizon. Everything’s growing askew. The detours pile up and pull at what holds me back. I stay the course. My freedom rests on a framework that moves with us. A new territory is opening up. It enters me through effort, distance, and everything I’ve had to adjust to reach it. Another season is shaping the same core. I press on. The distance has already changed my pace. Artist’s Note: My work never moves in a straight line. I head toward what draws me in, I experiment, I retrace my steps, and I gradually incorporate what allows me to go further. Even the detours eventually become part of the structure. Like a perennial that returns from the same root without taking on exactly the same form, I build upon what was already there and bring back what my explorations have allowed me to discover. Each shift adds something to what follows without erasing the core. This is what I recognize in the flight of the snow goose. It is given a route, but it must traverse it on its own, adapt to the conditions, and adjust its pace without losing its direction. In *Héritage*, *Entière* carries a legacy that transforms as it passes from one territory to another and from one body to another. What has been received finds its continuation in the unique way each person takes it up and pushes it further.
