Au cas où

There’s no rush yet. That’s where you build a head start. I like to create time that doesn’t yet belong to anything. Artist’s Note At first, I thought of foresight as a way to prepare for scarcity. While working on *Au cas où*, another aspect took center stage: acting early enough can preserve one’s options. We prepare before knowing exactly what will be needed. What comes next remains unknown. The work done in advance prevents necessity from dictating everything the moment it arises. So we can be prepared without having already chosen the next step. That’s probably what appeals to me most about this idea.
