Atom Smash

Small in size, immense in strength! This dynamic artwork features the legendary Atomas, the atomic ant from my childhood TV shows. Inspired by comic book culture and the advertising aesthetics of the 1960s. The use of diagonal lines of force and (as always) integrated typography accentuates the sense of speed and power characteristic of this tiny superhero’s imagery. Technically, the artwork stands out for its textured, grainy background that catches the light, evoking the texture of paper or urban walls. It resembles a poster plastered on the walls of our major cities. The outlines drawn with dry pastel lend the characters a spontaneous and authentic quality, deliberately breaking with the polished look of contemporary digital works.
