Jaret Pollard is a Vancouver-based artist whose work brings painting and sculpture together through dimensional relief, intricate texture, and shifting light. Painting since childhood, he draws on more than thirty years of professional painting experience and a practical understanding of surface, layering, and finish. Mushroom Forest / Forêt de champignons
Mushroom Forest is a 79 × 24 in panoramic bas-relief landscape where giant mushrooms, trees, water, carved forms and hidden creatures share one continuous terrain. It is designed in three light states: daylight reveals natural depth, ultraviolet light awakens a hidden ecosystem of colour, and darkness leaves a phosphorescent afterglow. An illuminated black-walnut shadowbox can be made to order.
