In “Kissing” Artwork is: Romantic Love — Sensuality — Passion — Unity — Emotional Euphoria — Devotion — Metaphor — Symbolism. I painted this Thematic Composition for the first time in the year 2000, when I got married and had the desire to express through art what I felt following the romantic connection with my wife Alina. Then, I created it in another manner, much more impasto, in 2008, that version was called «THE KISS». I greatly enjoy this subject of expressing sensual euphoria through the color white, which is why I chose to paint it again on a large format in 2021. I specifically chose two white birds in flight, which also contain an element of intense red color. White is my favorite color, that pure color which reflects within itself all shades of colors. I named this Composition slightly differently «Kissing», and I painted it in 2021 on a large format, using a free technique in which I applied, in certain areas of the canvas, a thicker layer of oil paint with an impasto texture. In this Artwork, I explore through color and composition the intensity of romantic love through this symbolic image of two storks immersed in a moment of profound intimacy. I intended to show precisely this gesture of passionate, sensual, romantic, even sexual affection — a moment of emotional euphoria in which two beings are completely absorbed in one another.In this Composition, I present these two white storks, depicted with their long red beaks joined together in a continuous form, creating the visual impression of a deep and tender kiss. This central gesture is the emotional core of my older Composition called «The Kiss»: a symbol of attraction, desire, unity, and the invisible force that brings two kindred souls together. Through the vibrations of linear patches of pastel colors, I have expressed that sensual tremor of pleasure that comes from the sexual union of two beings in love. I chose these two white birds specifically in order to pictorially describe this intimate connection, symbolically using a scene from nature. Storks are traditionally associated with family, loyalty, protection, and rebirth — they are symbols of a romantic bond filled with tenderness and devotion.In my symbolic Composition, I show the posture, movement, and interaction of the storks at the moment when they are in a state of happiness and emotional ecstasy, the result of their love in its purest and most instinctive form.The background and the vibrant blue environment, in which their feathers appear to be spread around the flight surrounding these birds, create a vibrant emotional atmosphere within the Composition. The energetic movement of the brushstrokes, and especially of the palette knife on the sky around them, amplifies the feeling of passion and inner dynamism, as if all of nature itself were taking part in this extraordinary moment of union. The contrast between the luminous white plumage, the intense blue of the flight surrounding them, and the vivid red of their beaks creates a powerful visual dialogue between purity, depth, and passionate desire. Through this Artwork«Kissing», my aim was to capture that moment of a passionate kiss in which intense love manifests itself through an act of complete union, filled with tender emotion, sensual presence, and connection between two beings in love.
