Vodniciar Vladimir «Bouquet of Sunflowers» — 35x45cm oil on canvas 2026

I was inspired to paint this Sunflower Bouquet in a small format, in the style of other bouquets that I have painted in large formats. I painted it with a palette knife, using the impasto technique in certain areas. I created this light-and-shadow effect by giving the petals in the shadow a softer appearance, allowing the texture of the canvas to remain visible. I conveyed the movement of the yellow flowers through different shades of yellow, with lighter accents extending to white, creating a connection with the white surface on which the vase with flowers is placed. I chose this silver-colored frame with a slightly golden tone, without making it too yellow, together with a white mat that enhances the colors of the entire Sunflower Bouquet.
