Description
In this piece, oppositional colours, movements, and textures collide, frantically attempting to find a new sense of order and ground. This psychic topography captures the internal struggle to recalibrate one’s soul following a profound rupture. The dripping red, purple, and green tones represent the bleeding wounds such a traverse entails; questions, doubts, fears, apprehensions. The more textured features characterise disoriented processes of coagulation, healing and becoming. Amidst the chaos of this transfiguration, beauty persists inexplicably—the warmer tones (pinks, oranges, yellows, reds) and cooler tones (greens, blues, purples) clash, interacting in a dance that captures the intrinsic beauty of this often painful process.
