Created as part of a gallery show "Accessible Art" each artist was challenged with making affordable entry level piece in a series of 10. I presented 4 series including this one on Leda and The Swan story of Greek Mythology. I worked with my recent interest in street art, my ongoing satire against Disney and fascination with how people view a story over time. The story is about a man molesting a girl, but was romanticized in the past in art. I attempted to bring forth the reality of the story in an uncomfortable way, while maintaining my sense of humor. This painting features a young woman kneeling against a patterned background filled with repeated, stylized frog-like figures in muted tones. The central figure wears a white sailor-style top with a blue bow and white underwear, rendered with soft, painterly brushstrokes. Surrounding her are four floating fried eggs, adding a surreal and whimsical element to the composition. The color palette combines warm skin tones with cooler blues and earthy background hues. The overall mood balances innocence and subtle tension, reflecting the artist's maximalist and absurdist approach to chaotic yet meaningful imagery.
