Joyful Collage

This vibrant mixed media collage features an energetic composition of torn paper fragments and painted elements in bold hues of orange, pink, turquoise, and blue. Textured layers of newspaper clippings and musical notes are interspersed with abstract shapes and brushstrokes in black, white, and metallic silver. The dynamic arrangement creates a lively, tactile surface that invites close inspection. The overall mood is playful and spontaneous, reflecting an intuitive, expressive approach to abstract art. This mixed media collage is about being joyful as the name suggests. The paper has a painting underneath, and I then added items I cut out of an art journal as well as washi that I decorated with acrylics. The colors of the collage are bright with neon orange, neon pink and turquoise blue. I also painted some of the washi with multiple colors such as silver and orange and black and white. The items were all adhered to the painting using gloss medium. I hope you enjoy the bright and bold colors of Joyful Collage.
