Custom framing and frames
The right frame finishes a piece: custom framing and framed original art, by real artists and craftspeople.
A frame is not an afterthought, it's what turns a canvas into a finished piece on your wall. At L'Original, we offer custom framing for original works and personalized frames, so your artwork (or a meaningful photo) is presented exactly as it deserves. Real craftsmanship, made to your dimensions and style.
Buying an original from us? Each artwork page tells you in its Artwork information section whether the piece is already framed, and framing options are available on the works that are not. Every painting ships ready to hang, framed or not.
For a frame made to measure, send us a custom request: our advisory team helps you with style, sizing, framing and pricing before anything is made.

Frequently asked questions
Can you frame a piece to custom dimensions?
Yes, we frame original works and personalized pieces to your exact dimensions and style. Tell us about your project and we'll propose the right framing.
Are your original paintings sold framed?
Some are. Check the Artwork information section of each artwork page to see whether the piece is framed. When it is not, framing options are available, and every painting ships ready to hang.
Does a canvas painting need a frame?
Not necessarily. A canvas with painted edges reads cleanly unframed, especially on a white wall. A frame becomes useful when you want to protect the work, give it more presence or match it to the rest of the room.
Can I order a print with a frame?
Yes. Our prints can be ordered unframed or with a black, white or red oak frame, chosen directly on the print page.
