“Life is not GTA”

Muralist · Montreal, Canada
Born into a family of Hochelaga potters, he grew up in a workshop, with his hands in the clay. His mother introduced him at an early age to the Atelier Circulaire, where he explored a wide variety of mediums: jewelry, copper enamel, stone, wood and metal engraving, silkscreening, sewing and more. This curiosity led him to a multidisciplinary practice, instinctive and rooted in everyday life. Today, through his HochlyWorld universe, he uses the clown as a social symbol and mirror of our times. His sculptures embody characters both funny and disturbing, inspired by the stereotypes and contradictions of Montreal. His approach blends humor, social criticism and craftsmanship, in a visual language where every detail - from the frozen smile to the colorful tears - tells something true, ugly and beautiful at the same time.
