Her work, which is at once playful, bold, and luminous, explores sometimes dark themes such as gender, mortality, consumerism, and grief, as well as the relationship—or the breakdown of that relationship—between humans and nature. By repurposing and transforming elements drawn from our consumer culture, she creates two- and three-dimensional works designed to challenge the viewer’s perceptions and preconceptions.
