Vodniciar Alina Artwork «White Swans» — 35,5x45,5cm oil on canvas 2015

I painted this Artwork in 2015, during those years, I was painting several small-format works to exhibit them in the center of Montreal. These white swans are painted in oil on canvas, representing an expression of grace and love, as these elegant birds are symbols of harmony, purity, and a deep spiritual connection. My intention was to paint only two swans in close view, as they are the central element of an Artwork about love and tenderness, capturing the beauty of a unique moment in nature. I rendered the peacefulness of the water and the elegance of movement through oil colors, using contrasts between white and blue, along with light reflections to create an atmosphere of serenity. The white feathers of the swans were painted with impasto brushstrokes, especially in the illuminated areas. I chose a background with deep blue tones to enhance the pure whiteness of the swans and to create a feeling of space and tranquility. I aimed to represent the movement of the water waves through layers of color and fragmented reflections, allowing the surface of the water to appear alive and constantly moving. For this reason, I used contrasts between smoother areas and thicker oil brushstrokes to emphasize the texture of the feathers and the delicacy of the forms. By painting with oil colors, I tried to capture both the external appearance of the swans and the emotion of a moment of closeness and harmony between these two living beings. Through this Artwork, I wanted to convey a feeling of calm, beauty, and balance, transforming a simple moment in nature into a symbolic image of love. This painting can be a beautiful gift for a wedding, a wedding anniversary, or a meaningful present for two people in love. The painting is not framed, it is simply the painted canvas stretched on a wooden stretcher frame.
