Vodniciar Alina Artwork «Bouquet of Yellow Flowers» — 22,5x28cm watercolor on paper 2026

I recently bought this Bouquet of small yellow flowers with the intention of painting it in a larger format, but before creating the large version, I decided to make this smaller study. When I bought these very charming yellow flowers, I immediately imagined the bouquet placed against a cool greyish-blue background. As soon as I arrived home, I started working on it. I absolutely love this combination of blue and yellow on a cool background. I painted this Bouquet in one spontaneous flow, and I intend to create it in a larger format as well. The contrast between the warm yellow of the flowers and the cool shades of blue-grey creates a strong visual harmony, in which the flowers seem to gain even more luminosity. The cool background acts as a supporting element that enhances the intensity of the yellow and gives the composition a calm and balanced atmosphere. Through this chromatic choice, I wanted to convey the delicacy of the bouquet and make its colours resonate through their own visual harmony. I preserved, through the visible brushstrokes, a structure characteristic of watercolor painting. The Artwork is not framed, it consists only of the painted watercolor sheet on a small format.
