Reclaim

Reclaim explores what persists and reemerges after a rupture. Through a dense and deeply textured surface, mineral greens emerge from dark earth tones, while a black fissure, fragmented with gold, cuts across the surface. Constructed through layers of pigments, washes, metallic materials, and encaustic, the work evokes a landscape transformed by time: a scarred earth that, nevertheless, begins to live again. Here, the material retains the traces of what it has endured. Nothing returns exactly as it was before. Something regains its place, its strength, and its light—but in a different way.
