Oranges No.1 (Still Life)

Part of an exclusive 31 piece series created during Inktober 2025, Nature Morte : Oranges reinterprets classical still life paintings by stripping the tradition down to its core theme: nature, decay, and time. This original piece merges the vibrant texture and life of citrus with the timeless form of a skull. Executed in watercolor with delicate colored pencil details, the fluid washes bring a poetic softness to the macabre subject matter, while the fine pencil work adds crisp depth and definition. Hand-painted and drawn from scratch, this artwork is a one of a kind original.
