This work emerged from an experience that led me to question certain beliefs and limitations that I had taken for granted. Inspired in part by Plato’s allegory of the cave, it explores the moment when we begin to look beyond what we have been taught to see. This transition can be uncomfortable, because stepping away from the familiar requires courage. Through its symbols, this painting speaks to inner freedom, questioning, and transformation. It does not seek to provide answers, but rather to open a space for reflection on the ideas, traditions, and boundaries that can sometimes separate us from one another. “Free Spirit” is an invitation to look beyond the visible and invisible walls that shape the way we see the world.
