Kerpow Blam Boom

A retelling of the Kali story using my maximalist tendencies, Disney imagery and influences from street art. This vibrant, maximalist painting features a surreal blue-skinned figure with multiple arms, positioned centrally and surrounded by cartoonish characters reminiscent of classic animation. The figure's pink hair and expressive pose contrast with the chaotic background filled with bold patterns, skulls, and graphic elements like stars and polka dots. The composition is dense and colorful, blending whimsy with darker undertones suggested by blood-red handprints and skeletal motifs. The overall mood conveys a complex interplay of absurdity and tension, reflecting the artist's exploration of chaos and perception through a vivid, pop-culture-infused lens.
