A revision to the "Great American Dream." An empire in decline, a dream tainted, soiled and twisted. What is the new American Dream? Has it become something less noble or was it ever really an aspiration to achieve? This piece explores what has become of this empire of ideas and questions if the gates are burning. This vibrant artwork features a large slice of lattice-topped pie filled with yellow cubes marked by various doodles and symbols. The pie slice is set against a densely packed, colorful background teeming with abstract figures, graffiti-like text, and whimsical characters in shades of blue, green, purple, and red. The composition combines a maximalist approach with an absurdist style, creating a chaotic yet engaging visual narrative. The interplay of bright yellows and deep reds in the pie contrasts with the darker, more complex backdrop, evoking a mood that balances whimsy and underlying darkness.
