End Piece

Part of my "Beauty Is The Enemy" series, this piece explores martyrdom and saints of "The Last Days."What will we worship when the end comes? Will it be the very things that wipe us from the globe, or will we long for and hold on to the decaying memories of those things that once comforted us? End Piece is a vibrant, maximalist painting featuring a blonde woman holding a white cat. The woman's eyes are marked with red Xs, and black paint drips from her mouth, suggesting a dark undertone. Surrounding her head is a circular, clock-like halo adorned with green and yellow bullets. The background is a chaotic collage of colorful patterns, including rubber ducks, doll heads, lollipops, and stylized text, creating a whimsical yet unsettling atmosphere. The composition blends pop culture imagery with surreal elements, reflecting a balance between whimsy and darkness.
