This 20 × 16-inch acrylic painting is inspired by a summer garden bordering on abstraction. A mass of yellow and emerald-green flowers occupies the center of the composition, punctuated by black accents that evoke birds in flight or the dark centers of flowers. The background, rendered in broad swaths of blue and turquoise, creates an atmosphere of diffused light and atmospheric movement.
