Doomscroll

It is too easy to become mired in a quagmire of doom, when the very devices we rely on for information, tailor themselves to our basest urges to see the ills of the world. We get sucked in, we search more and the algorithms fine tune themselves further to feed us carnage and despair "Doomscroll" presents a collection of fragmented, mannequin-like figures scattered across a deep red background. The artist uses a mixed technique combining sketchy white and yellow outlines with brownish tones to depict the forms, creating a sense of disjointedness and vulnerability. Overlaying the composition are faint, blurred text elements, adding to the chaotic and unsettling atmosphere. The overall style is maximalist and absurdist, evoking a dark yet whimsical mood that reflects a world overwhelmed by confusion and distress.
